I am selling my Jetta. Green, 4door, 118,000 miles. Manual Transmission.
I've had this car for about 4 years. Company gives me a bus pass and I rarely leave the city so I can't justify the insurance payments anymore.
It's been a reliable car.
The major issue I've had with it is electrical. Currently, if I engage my right blinker, nothing happens. If I engage the left, the hazard lights turn on. And compressing the brake, will only cause a dim change for the brake lights, making the car unsafe to drive at night. This started after the car was broken into and the stereo was stolen.
Also, during the last "snowstorm", it was skidded into while parked and the driver's side bumper was damaged enough that I've removed it. (Hit and Run)
Other than that, it runs really well. I had the clutch replaced about 3 years ago since it was sluggish up hill. I've gotten oil changes at all recommended times. I had a 95 Jetta previously that I drove from 110k to 195k.
