We are newly married and found the perfect 1 bedroom unit, and need awesome people to fill our part of the remaining 7-month lease! The building is a 1910 8-unit, 3-floor + basement apartment complex between Thomas and Melrose (317 E Thomas) with street views of the Space Needle and the #14 bus right on the corner and the #8 two blocks south! 5 blocks to Broadway with QFC an easy 10 minute walk!

The unit itself is 1,000 sq ft with hardwood floors, 1 -- 4 windows in every room, indirect light all day, and very quiet. We have a roommate who is on the lease and must stay for the duration of it (September 1), but she is very nice and keeps to herself for the most part. We have most of the furniture in the apartment so a lot of space will be freed up when we leave. The space that you can occupy includes one bedroom (10 1/2 x 14') with a walk-in closet (5 x 7') with double-door entry from the living room + entry from the long hallway that extends the length of the apartment (we can leave the closet organizer for $20, since there's only one small coat bar in there), the living/dining room (10 1/2 x 14') and a shared bath (11 ½ x 5' including the width of the tub) and kitchen (8 ½ x 11').

The total rent for the 2 bedroom/1 bath unit is $1,495 + $100 flat rate for water/sewer/gas utilities, electricity being the only extra utility (unless you want cable / internet). Right now, we split that rent amount 3 ways (each paying $532). Our roommate needs to stay at her current rent rate (her utilities will go up if only one person is moving in, for a total of $548.33), so this apartment price would be an easy split for a couple or for someone who can pay a little extra for a lot of space.

You will need to complete a background/employment/credit check through our landlord in order to apply to rent this space. It's $40 per person for that process, and takes about 48 hours of less to get the results. As far as we're concerned, as soon as you're approved, you can grab your things and move in!

The only downsides to this apartment [for most people] is that there is no dedicated parking, so you have to grab whatever is available on the street [or pay for a city pass behind the building] and there are no dogs allowed, only cats with a $300 refundable deposit.

Hopefully you've made it down this far! We will miss this space but know that you will love it as much as we have. Our house is LGBT+friendly, vegan, crafty, honest and fun. Please reply to this post or call/text 775 843 5130 if you're interested!

Horrible
This seems like one of the worst deals I have ever seen for someone to take.
