I have frequented the Capitol Club on a weekly basis for the past year or so and was there on Monday when this incident occurred. These attacks on the owner the establishment are unnecessary and unwarranted. The Capitol Club, it's staff and owners care greatly about their patrons and the reason there was a group outside the venue when the incident took place is because THEY KICKED OUT the people that were starting problems to PROTECT their patrons. The police had been notified and were in route before a fight had even started outside, because this group was being unruly inside before any of this happened. There is a police report and video footage to prove this is true. The fight being stated from Ghost Gallery occured in the alley on Crawford Street behind The Capitol Club and the 2 people that were unfortunatley hurt in the incident were not even at The Capitol Club that night.

what's wrong with gettin' outta the way? if the 'victims' weren't 'even' imbibing inside the C. Club, then WHAT REASON made them FAIL TO RECOGNIZE a brawl about to 'even' possibly begin (a.k.a. PAY ATTENTION PEDESTRIANS & FELLOW URBAN CITIZENS)??? there is always more to the story than that which is reported - to say the LEAST - so don't simply accept what you are told as fact & simply USE YOUR OWN judgment & MIND... DUH.
and respect the last few establishments of nightlife in this village! -or else move away, please* |

Anyone know about an assault early Wed morn at 130 AM near the corner of 18th and Prospect? Rumor has it a man was punched in the face while walking home with his girlfriend; he lost 4 teeth. The girlfriend lost her purse. Assailants were two 'very normal looking' guys, who walked away. Anyone know anything? Why isn't this posted? The neighborhood where this occurred is very quiet and filled with families.

no reason to be so negative. If it were your friends you would have been just as concerned. Luckily, all turned out ok, the club did take reponsibility for not making sure the unruly crowd moved away from club property after being kicked out.
